In order to locate these rare species, we were advised by Dr Nicholas Kalodimos who is considered to be the authority on Oahu's wild parrot species. He has been conducting extensive research on all five of the island's feral Psittaciformes during the last four years. His scientific work involves tracking these interesting birds using radio telemetry, creating an extensive photo and video library and conducting roost counts.
